Don Mattrick

Don Mattrick was the president of software maker Electronic Arts Worldwide and originally one of the heads of Distinctive Software (DSI), which later became a division of Electronic Arts in 1993, Electronic Arts Canada. Distinctive Software was one of the leaders in auto racing simulations in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
After Electronic Arts bought DSI in 1993, Mattrick was involved in games like the Need for Speed series. In August or September 2005, Mattrick resigned as president of Electronic Arts Worldwide [1], a position largely involved in game development. Mattrick left EA because he was disinterested in "running a public company" [2].
He was previously considered a possible candidate for the CEO position at EA.
In February 2007, Mattrick joined Microsoft as an external adviser for its Entertainment and Devices division and continues to play a large role in the video game industry.
