Donald Blakeslee

Donald James Matthew Blakeslee was an officer in the United States Air Force, whose career began as a pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force and flew Spitfire fighter aircraft, during World War II. He then became a member of the Royal Air Force Eagle squadrons.
Blakeslee rejoined the United States Army Air Forces after the United States' entry into the war and eventually became commanded the Fourth Fighter Group, which had formerly been the Eagle squadrons.[1] Blakeslee retired from the United States Air Force in 1965.[2]
