Donald Farmer

Donald Farmer (born May 2, 1954 in Pittsburgh, Kansas) is an American film director and writer who works primarily in the horror and action genres. His best known films include the Brigitte Nielsen/Dana Plato thriller COMPELLING EVIDENCE, CANNIBAL HOOKERS,AN EROTIC VAMPIRE IN PARIS, RED LIPS, VICIOUS KISS (the final film of Margaux Hemingway) and the award-winning comedy BOLLYWOOD AND VINE (source www.imdb.com).
Farmer has also produced the documentaries INVASION OF THE SCREAM QUEENS (which profiles female horror actresses including Brinke Stevens and Mary Woronov) and WHOSE WAR? In the 80's before beginning his film-making career, Farmer worked as a political reporter for the Nashville Tennessean newspaper and entertainment writer for Fangoria magazine. He also published a popular 80's fanzine titled The Splatter Times devoted to the horror and B-movie genres.
