Donut Diner

The Donut Diner is a Canadian coffee and doughnut franchise with many locations and kiosks in and around the Niagara Region and greater Golden Horseshoe areas of Ontario. It is renowned for its old fashioned style of baked goods, its 1950s-era decor, and unique local flavour.
The Donut Diner corporate offices are located in St. Catharines, Ontario. There are approximately 50 operational franchises and at least a dozen kiosks in the Golden Horseshoe.

Prompted by rival Tim Hortons' runaway success with the Roll Up The Rim to Win advertising campaign, The Donut Diner responded with the Golden Horseshoe Giveaway promotion.
While on a much smaller scale, the Golden Horseshoe Giveaway contest is primarily the same as Tim Hortons contest. Contestants roll up the rim of their paper coffee cups to reveal a message informing them of a win or loss. Prizes are issued in the form of food and drink from the restaurant, discounts and merchandise from local businesses, and offerings from such international entities as Nestle and The Quaker Oats Company.
