[edit] Biography
Le was born in Houston, Texas and was raised in the sunny suburbia that is Orange County, California. His works continually focus on refining his skills as jack of all trades: actor/writer/producer/director/photographer/editor. The acting itch got a hold of him in high school and after brief cameos in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006) and Bring It On: All or Nothing (2006), he was signed onto a 3 month stint as a student in Hilary Swank's class of troubled misfits teens in the critically acclaimed, audience pleaser Freedom Writers (2007).
Knee-deep in the process of being a Freedom Writer, Don wrote and produced multiple episodes for the TV show Xposure, a show canvassing the rise and struggles of Asian American music artists. Working with widely-known hosting personality, John Wynn of DirecTV's multi-million dollar production, CDUSA, acting phenom Teresa Michelle Lee, the incomparable Scott Ly, and the lovely Trish Pinkett, he got a greater feel for one-on-one with talent of incredible aura. During this time, Le collaborated with director/producer Van Pham of Beyond the Mat.
The tightknit experience led him to an epiphany of sorts: film and television was his calling. As one fateful Summer day would have it, an audition for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End landed him on the seven seas with the gung ho crew of Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley, and Mr. Jack Sparrow himself, Johnny Depp. Sailing with the rowdy crew of ragtag pirates was the experience of a lifetime, especially under Chow Yun Fat's tutelage. In a simultaneous miracle of sorts, during filming of the third exciting chapter of the highly successful series, Le was given the honor of interviewing the grandmaster of martial arts, Jet Li, for SaigonTV/Kimmi Ly's A Nation TV show.
In addition to acting, Le has also produced, written, and edited a number of works, including Thirteen Minutes Magazine: The TV Show with numerous guests including The Scorpion King's Kelly Hu, Battlestar Galactica's Grace Park, and DJ Shy of the world famous Los Angeles based 102.7 KIIS FM. 2006 was a banner year in which he formulated his own film/tv/documentary production company with partner, JohnnyD Nguyen, JD Entertainment Group. As well, he assists with freelance photography for a number of companies including Hollywood's elite BodyPartsModels agency. His photography portfolio is at your perusal here: Don's Portfolio
