Hello Donnie, and welcome! I noticed your portal and like the idea very much. I myself set up the Christianity Portal, and one of the portal's features is a "featured scripture" section. Perhaps you could suggest some particularly interesting passages to show? I would also welcome any suggestions you may have on articles to feature etc. Hope to see you round! Hi- I was looking around today and I noticed that this portal had gone inactive for a little while. I have made some changes to Portal:Bible/Featured chapter that should help things to be a little more automated. It will automatically display a different verse from Exodus every three days. There are still a few more things I'd like to tweak about it, but this will make it so that a dated page won't have to be created for each verse - if ever there isn't content available, the template can be changed to just replay Genesis. I'd love to help out with anything that can be done there. BigDT 02:31, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
- Also, I have created {{Portal:Bible/Featured chapter/Template}} which you can add to your userpage in order to have the current Bible chapter transcluded onto your user page. I've populated Exodus 2-3, so it is set for the next week. BigDT 17:23, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

I have set the template for the featured chapter so that Exodus will end exactly at the end of January. What book would you like to have next? Purely for the sake of having something there, I've set it to do John, but if you would rather stick with the OT, that's fine too. BigDT 00:27, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

I gave it some thought, and I think I would prefer to do the Bible chapters straight through rather than skip around. I know the last three books of Moses are not terribly exciting, but maybe we can speed up the rotation again so it won`t take all year. Let me know what you think.
