"Dosed" is a song by the Red Hot Chili Peppers from their 2002 album, By the Way. It was released as a single in the USA and Canada only. As it was only released in the USA, no music video was ever created for it. The song features four guitars all playing completely different riffs.
The song is a ballad that clocks in at 5:11 making it the third longest recording on the album. It runs through stages, each time repeating the original verse until the songs completion. In between the verses, guitar solos can be heard from the four guitars that play. The first and third lines of the chorus are sung by Frusciante, while the second and fourth are answered by Kiedis. One can say that this piece of the Red Hot Chili Peppers is the closest reflection of John Frusciante's musical spirit in his solo albums. Specifically, songs like "Fallout" or "The Will to Death" have similar guitar techniques.
