Doug Batchelor is an evangelist of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and author of several books including The Richest Caveman. His primary ministry is the worldwide television broadcast program "Amazing Facts," which is based in Sacramento, California. He also pastors the Sacramento Central Seventh-day Adventist Church. Doug is son of the Florida aviation tycoon and philanthropist George Batchelor and the Hollywood film critic and songwriter Ruth Batchelor. He spent his youth searching for the purpose of life, and, while living in a cave in southern California, he found a Bible that ultimately changed his life.
He is the author of four books: The Richest Caveman-The Doug Batchelor Story; To See the King; How to Survive and Thrive in Church; and At Jesus' Feet-The Gospel According to Mary Magdalene.
His wife, Karen and five children support him in his ministry. His hobbies include kayaking, racquetball and flying.
