Dryptosauridae was a family of primitive tyrannosaur theropod dinosaurs from the Cretaceous Period. It was named by Othniel Charles Marsh in 1890. There are currently only two species in this family: Dryptosaurus aquilunguis and Alectrosaurus olseni.
