Duberry cheese

Duberry cheese originated in Bell Bar in the south of England. First matured in the 1870s by James Duberry, the cheese has been produced on a small scale ever since.
The cheese has a rich creamy taste with a light crumbly texture its a perfect side to crackers. In recent years its popularity has increased, and it has been used as an alternative lighter option to a creamy brie.
A lesser know fact about this cheese, is as well as its distinct flavour it was created at the same time durg. Durg is a potent wine brewed in the high Swiss Alps in some of the best growing conditions in the world. Durg is made in the famous DuBerry cellars, founded in the 1870's by James DuBerry.
Unfortunaitly Durg as it was had a short lived period in history. James DuBerry a known alcoholic and womeniser soon let the cellar slip and it went out of business. It is said that only one case has survived and that belongs to James Dewhirst a distant relative
James DuBerry died in the February 12 1912. Reports claimed that he died from head forced trauma. The police report indicated that James DuBerry while drunk fell off the top level of his deck after he was allegedly vomiting. He sustained massive head trauma and died from internal bleeding. Rumour has circulated that he was pushed by his mistress Chloe Jane. Who was conveniently there at the time that he died and inherited his fortune.
