Don't know how accurate that lat/long reading is, got it from here. I doubt it's very precise though, it's just farmland according to Google Maps. [edit] 'Famous' Dubbo Quotes

Referring to the local RSL club as the 'rissole' or the 'arey' is hardly unique to Dubbo. There's no shortage of Commercial Hotels around Australia either and I doubt if many of them haven't been nicknamed 'the mersh' before. And can Dubbo really claim any particular connection to the expression 'eatin's cheatin'? If there aren't any better Dubbo quotes than those I think this section should be deleted. - Gimboid13 07:08, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

Someone is deleting the dubbo.org link daily with no explanation. If you are this person, could you please register with wikipedia and explain your reasons for doing so. I noticed someone else initially reverted the changes (Gimboid13 ) and since then I have reverted three times in three days, but it is not good wikipedia policy to keep doing reverts. Considering that the dubbo.org site is owned by Wayne Connor – the person who keeps pasting it on wiki, I would consider this to be a conflict of interest.

Added to that, dubbo.org is not officially recognised by the Dubbo City Council or the Dubbo City Tourism Association.

Recently there have been some slanderous remarks about the city on the site by the site creators. Things such as saying that only families are welcome etc etc.

Dubbo recently has had a huge downturn in the tourism market of recent times. To have people create so called tourism website – then in those sites go on to bag admission prices and numerous other instances bias.

Tourism is a very important part of the Dubbo economy, we as a city need to have professional representation. It should not be promoted by a backroom amateur who is only trying to sub-promote himself and his religious domination.

As for the media outlets, Dubbo actually has 13 radio stations. But you can’t consider these to be media. Country Radio and Tourist Radio, along with the others do not have newsrooms.

2DU, Zoo FM, Star FM, ABC and Rhema have local news and thus could be considered media. Others stations are merely repeating loops. If you are to count Country FM and Tourist Radio stations, please include the entire list of the 13 stations that broadcast in Dubbo. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 61.68.103.15 (talk • contribs).

Dubbo.org is simply a blog about dubbo, but I think it provides information found no-where else, such as a list of places to swim, a list of all the farmers markets, public toilets etc. I owe an apology though, I just read the conflict of interest section and yes, I cannot put up a link to sites that I operate. I do operate dubbo.org and I did I put the dubbo.org link on 12 months ago.

If someone else thinks my blog provides unique information on Dubbo, could you please add a link to it? Wayne Connor 06:25, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

I see Mr Connor you continiously add your private business to this webpage (dubbo.org). Even going to the extent of having people from your organisation paste it again. You now even go to the extent of having the page protected. What we have here is a blatant disrespect for wiki. Shame.

I did not add the link to dubbo.org again. If you think that this link should not be on this page, rather than keep on removing it as an unregistered user, register as a wikipedia user, state your reasons as to why it is not a useful link, and then start a discussion here as to whether others agree with you. It’s very interesting to note Mr Connor that you admit to owning dubbo.org yet you still persist to spam the dubbo page with your blatant advertising.

Getting friends and associates of yours to post the link again than saying someone else did it is really poor form.

It once again shows what sort of a person you really are. Holier than thout no doubt. Typical.
