Duergar (folklore)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Duergar is a species of fairy that lives in Great Britain. He is described as being short, wearing a lambskin coat, moleskin shoes, and a hat made of moss stuck with a feather. They love to mislead travellers with flickering lights.
The word 'Duergar' comes from the Norse name of the Dwarves (dvergar) and could be considered the same creature, that moved to Britain with the Anglo-Saxons, Anglo-Danish settlers or Shetlanders.
