Dumenza is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Varese in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 70 km northwest of Milan and about 25 km north of Varese, on the border with Switzerland. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,376 and an area of 18.5 km2.[1]
The municipality of Dumenza contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Runo, Due Cossani, Stivigliano, and Trezzino.
Dumenza borders the following municipalities: Agra, Astano (Switzerland), Curiglia con Monteviasco, Luino, Maccagno, Miglieglia (Switzerland), Monteggio (Switzerland), Novaggio (Switzerland), Sessa (Switzerland), Veddasca.
