Duncan McNeill, 1st Baron Colonsay

Duncan McNeill, 1st Baron Colonsay (1793 - 31 January 1874) was a Scottish judge.
Educated at St Andrew's University and Edinburgh University he became an advocate in 1816. He was appointed Solicitor General for Scotland from 1834-5, and again from 1841 to 1842, becoming Lord Advocate in 1842.
He was Member of Parliament for Argyllshire from 1843 to 1851.
He was appointed a Senator of the College of Justice, as Lord Colonsay, in 1851. He was Lord Justice General from 1852 to 1867, and was created Baron Colonsay, of Colonsay and Oronsay in the County of Argyll, in 1867.
