thanks for your comments. Yes, I agree some on-wiki cross-project discussion page would be good. Perhaps you feel up to creating it at m:Wikinews/Global talk or a similar location? Regarding IRC, one good piece of news is that we now have a web interface which should make it really easy to use. We've also split the English Wikinews discussion away into its own channel, so that #wikinews can grow into a truly international chatroom. I'd be happy to see you there.
As for your question regarding InterWiki, n:fr:Accueil works. Generally speaking, for these shortcuts (w for Wikipedia, m for Meta, n for Wikinews, b for Wikibooks, q for Wikiquote), linking without a language prefix should point to the project in the language you're currently on (e.g. b:Hauptseite links to German Wikibooks Main Page), and linking with a language prefix will link to that language (e.g. b:en:Main Page). The URL looks a bit confusing: it's a transparent interwiki redirect.
One thing you could do to try to revive the French Wikinews is to organize it perhaps in a similar fashion as the Romanian edition, that is, to use red links instead of short summaries on the Main Page. [Bearbeiten] Kölsch wiki
I have seen that the Kölsch wiki is now a testwiki, at http://wikoelsch.dergruenepunk.de/index.php/Houpsick. Do you know how long will be the test period? And is it useful to create now an account on this wiki? Or is it better to wait the opening of the real wiki as a wikipedia.org subdomain? Hégésippe | ±Θ± 17:26, 30. - Sorry, I don not know to write french, but english is fine with me. I have no estimate as to how long it will take the test wiki to stay, and the final subdomain to be set up. One of the hindrances might be current lack of an official language code (requested, but not yet assigned by the ISO 639-2 autoritiy), another may be sheer time constraints and workload on those who have to make it happen. I assume that a dump of the test wiki data base will be imported into the final wiki. Transition should be pretty simple and smooth then. So if you like to do something useful, my suggestion would be, to do it now ;-) There is only one thing which does not work with the test wiki, that is interwiki linking. We do insert interwiki links in the test wiki in advance, and we keep them, but they do not work now. They will work once the articles have arrived in the final data base, however. - No Problem :-) As noted, interwikis can be inserted in the test wiki, but have no other effect than being shown at the end of pages. They will behave as usual, once the final subdomain wiki is available. Interwiki links from elsewere to the testwiki should not be made, since there is no final decision on the code to be used for it. Thank you for your support, anyways! --Purodha Blissenbach 09:34, 5. Salut, je me suis permis de corriger quelques mots sur ta site personelle. Je suis tombé sur ta site par hasard (j'ai mis un link interwiki sur une page suèdoise et j'ai trouvé intéressant le nom Ma'ame Michou...). Donc, j'espère que je ne t'ai pas offensé par griffonner sur ta site (en revanche, tu peu corriger mon français ici ou bien sur http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utilisateur:PhHertzog ;-)!
