Hallo HardDisk, ich fand Dich als Mitarbeiter des Portals Kroatien eingetragen. Folgendes: Die Bildunterschrift zu diesem Bild ist nicht richtig, da diese Insel (Insel Sestrice mit Leuchtturm Tajerske Sestrice) nicht zum Nationalpark Kornaten gehört.

Hi HardDisk, as discussed before on IRC, I am planning to start moving images from nl.wp in batches to Wikimedia Commons. In the past 9 or so months we have cleaned up our local repository considerably, going from over 45k images to now under 33k images, with only a handful untagged or commonsclashed.

I require a framework to facilitate moving the images with as little manual labour as possible. These would be the requirements:

• Category based moving
• Automatic download
• CommonsHelper-like extraction of information from the source wiki
• CommonsHelper-like adding of categories
• Manual confirmation of image move with a possibility of changing the file name
• Automatic upload
• Automatic NowCommons tagging on source wiki (possibly a different template like NowCommonsAuto to indicate that it was a bot move)
• Automatic template addition on Commons upload so that automatically uploaded images can be tagged for a manual check after upload, because they may need to be (re)categorised and the {Information} template data may need to be cleaned up.

Could you point me in the right direction as to where wich functionality would already be available or if maybe you could add the missing functionality to the CommonismNow bot? I'd like to start moving about 100 images per day, depending on the progress of the manual check on the side of Commons after the move. Thanks in advance for your help. Siebrand 17:33, 2. 33k images? it seems to me this should be done within the wikimedia-network without downloading them to a machine over the internet just to re-upload them again. -- ∂ 00:38, 3. Mär. 2007 (CET)

Benutzer:Duesentrieb told me about [1], this could be used to copy the images. the description pages could be imported via xml-dump, the interesting point would be to adapt them to the format needed on commons. -- ∂ 02:33, 3. Mär. 2007 (CET)

CommonsHelper has the code (in PHP as far as I know) to put things in the Information template and add correct license templates, etc. It does require some cleanup, so instead of mass importing, which would probably lead to some unwanted nsd-ing, I would very much like to be able to control the pace myself. just copying a lot of images from one wiki to another is not a big problem, maybe 20 lines of code i could write for you. tell me more about what's to be done to the description pages. i guess it wouldn't make sens to just copy them and then fix them on commons? -- ∂ 17:26, 3. Mär. 2007 (CET)

Hallo, ich sehe, du reagierst auf diese LAe auch schon annähernd wie ein Stier in Pamplona. Da gilt nur eine Maßnahme: keep cool und suche nach den Schwächen in W.s Argumentation, etwa im LA zum Iranischen Atomprogramm das absurde Statement hatten mal einen Reaktor, aber die Israelis haben ihn plattgemacht, welches von völliger Unkenntnis der Materie zeugt -- es war ein Reaktor im Irak, ein kleiner Unterschied von einem Buchstaben und etwa 1500 km Luftlinie! Da muß man ansetzen, das ist kein Einzelfall.. (wobei ich zugegebenermaßen auch schon einige Male kein besseres Urteil als typischer W.-LA zustande brachte. In 7 von 9 Fällen ist er halt meilenweit verkehrt. Was mir hinsichtlich des Artikels zum Iranischen Atomprogramm mehr Sorge macht, sind die IP-Edits und die Beiträge derselben in der Löschdisku, sowie die Involvierung von Herrn Birken, dessen Fachgebiet auch woanders liegt (wenn ich mich nur daran erinnere, wie er den Operation Sommerregen als Teil des Konfliktes zwischen Israel und Hamas im Gazastreifen als redundant zum Libanonkrieg löschen wollte) und recht gerne Admin-Entscheidungen, wie damals bei dem Artikel über die Rolle des Iran und Syriens im Libanonkrieg 2006 oder auch bei der Mordserie in Ipswich 2006 nicht akzeptieren will und deswegen durch WP:LP schleift, weil er einen Feldzug gegen Artikel über Ereignisse führt, die nicht mindestens 17 Jahre vergangen sind. --Matthiasb 21:35, 10. Ich bin zufällig auf Deine Frage, wie man die Header aus einer GET-HTTP-Antwort isoliert im Archiv gestoßen. Dabei wurden Dir zwar Tipps gegeben, wie Du die Header isolieren kannst, der eigentlich korrekte Tipp aber wurde wohl vergessen: Probier mal, statt mit einer GET-Anfrage einfach mit einer HEAD-Anfrage zu arbeiten. GET und HEAD (sollen) identisch sein, der Unterschied besteht darin, daß beim HEAD der eigentliche Inhalt nicht mitgeliefert wird. Vielleicht willst Du ja ein bischen mit dem HEAD-Kommando experimentieren? --Bodo Thiesen 17:03, 22. Mär. 2007 (CET)

Tschau HardDisk, werde es möglich sein dein Bot auch ins IRC-chat #wikipedia-nl zu benutzen? Pff my German is worse than I thought, so back to English. Is it possible, because I like the automatic conversion it does from the links generated by [[wikilink]]-scripts to normal clickable hyperlinks.
