Easingwold is a small market town in North Yorkshire, England. It is located 13 miles north of York, at the foot of the Howardian hills. The name of Easingwold is Anglo Saxon in origin. King John had a hunting lodge there and the Royal Forest of Galtres (no longer a forest) surrounded the area.

Shirley Shepherd is currently chairman of the council and Mayor of Easingwold. It was bypassed by the A19 in November 1994. Easingwold school is the largest in the surrounding area and has around 1,300 pupils.

Easingwold is served by several buses to nearby villages, towns and the City of York.

It runs a very successful football club too.
