East Rainton is a village in the City of Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, in the north east of England. It is situated alongside the A690 road between Sunderland and Durham, near Houghton-le-Spring.
East Rainton is also home to the Stepy's Coaches Durham Sunday Football League team East Rainon Travellers Rest.
