East Taunton is a suburban neighborhood of Taunton, Massachusetts. As of the 2000 census, the neighborhood had a total population of 6,726.

There are 6,726 residents in East Taunton occupying 2,388 total households. The total area is 11.9mi2, 10.3 of which is land with the remaining 0.26 comprised of water. There are 621.0 people and 220.5 housing units per square mile.

East Taunton is home to the Silver City Galleria Mall, as well as Massassoit State Park which offers camping, mountain bike trails, and kayaking and fishing on Lake Rico.

East Taunton is serviced by Route 140, and is minutes from Route 24. It also minutes from the Middleboro/Lakeville commuter rail line which provides service to Boston.
