East Walnut Hills, Cincinnati

Founded in the late 1800s and seceeding from the nearby Walnut Hills neighborhood, East Walnut Hills is a diverse neighborhood, with variations in income levels and home costs. The neighborhood includes the large historic district between the O'Bryonville business district (Evanston) and the DeSales Corner (East Walnut Hills) which contains opulent mansions with large setbacks. Large estates also exist along William Howard Taft Road, capitalizing on the views of the Ohio River Valley and Downtown Cincinnati. Many older homes in the ares surrounding St. Ursula Academy are being subdivided and converted into condominiums.
East Walnut Hills is home to the Historic St. Francis DeSales Church, at the intersection of Madison Road and Woodburn Avenue, as well as Saint Ursula Academy, along East McMillan Street.
