[edit] Synopsis
Crichton, Jool, Chiana, and D'Argo, who are experiencing malfunctions to their transport pod, make an emergency landing on a Leviathan they initially think is Moya. It turns out to be a different Leviathan, inhabited by many feral Sebaceans, who seem to act almost like wild animals. Unfortunately, they need to walk around the ship in order to get certain parts to fix their transport pod. They are horrified to discover from the Pilot that these residents are eating him—tearing off his regrowing arms. They are also eating the walls of the ship. It turns out that the Leviathan had been carrying one prisoner, a mad scientist who eats brains. He kills D'Argo and eats his brain, and a tearful Chiana burns and disposes of the body so the mad residents can't get ahold of it and defile it. But wait, it turns out the mad scientist has a device that duplicates people—making two "equal and original" versions of what was originally one person. The other D'Argo is chained up so that one of the mad residents can have sex with him and possibly get pregnant. The feral behavior of the PKs is explained: there is no damage evident to duplicated people initially, but if they are duplicated many many times, they degenerate into the feral mad residents of the ship. The Moyans race through the ship, trying to find the parts they need to repair their transport pod, and keep themselves from being captured and eaten. Chiana is duplicated and one of her is immediately killed. Ultimately they are able to escape, and arrange to have the ship self destruct to put all aboard out of their misery and madness. But just before they leave, Crichton is doubled, and both Crichtons return to Moya. As the episode closes, the two of them are playing rock-paper-scissors, and tying each time, perfect mirrors to each other, while Aeryn looks on in confusion.
