Econofoods is a chain of grocery stores located in Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Wyoming. Econofoods is part of the Nash Finch Company, and is one of several supermarket brands operated by the company. The company is based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Econo Foods stores in Michigan, as well as two stores in Wisconsin, are privately owned and operated by T & C Markets of Brillion, WI.
Econofoods stores are generally full service stores - with a pharmacy, bakery, video rental, floral services, deliveries, and on-site banking facilities. The company offers a customer loyalty card as well, providing additional discounts on purchases.

All 5 Econofoods stores in Cedar Rapids, Iowa have closed. This in addition to stores in Iowa City, Muscatine, Manchester, Marshalltown, Waterloo and Cedar Falls, Iowa. Also, Stores in Freeport and Peru, Illinois have been closed.
Econofoods stores are open, for now, in Clear Lake, Ottumwa, Fairfield and Dubuque, Iowa, as well as Galesburg and Monmouth, Illinois.
