Edgar Bastidas

Edgar Bastidas (Caracas, 1969) he is a Venezuelan tenor. His voice has been described as pure, versatile, clean and resonant.
He Combining tone qualities with their exuberance and security in itself, he is a captivating figure in any phrase or in each performance.
He studied in the musical institute Mikhaíl Glinka of the City of Dnipropetrovs'k in Ukraine, where he carries out song studies with the Teacher María E. Markina.
(1991-1995) he studied in the Kiev State Conservatory "Piotr I. TChaikovsky" in Ukraine, with the Russian Professor Vladimir I. Timohin.
In the Opera Studio of the same Conservatory it begins his career like soloist, interpreting (Lensky) in Opera “Eugene Onegin”, (Alfredo) in “La Traviata”, (Almaviva) in “The Barber of Seville”, (Duke of Mantua) “Rigoletto”.
He has worked with many distinguished conductors including Lev Gorvatenko, Ruslan Doroyivsky, Roman Koffman, Boris Velat, Jan Drietomsky and Pablo Castellanos.
With success he has carried out presentations in European theaters interpreting leaders parts like: Almaviva, Nemorino, Duca di Mantova, Gringoire and Alfredo.
Edgar’s wide concert repertoire encompasses lieder, Spanish Songs, Russian songs, Latin American songs, contemporary ,Italian and Neapolitan songs.
