[edit] History
In 1872 John T. Edwards, a successful Cariboo miner, bought the estate and stock of Adam P. Heffley, and later added neighbouring land. For a while he took over the name of the main creek as well, but in 1898 moved to Kamloops, and the name reverted to the original settler.
