[edit] Definitely better as a box
This template definitely looks better as a box rather than as a "See also" section, no? SchuminWeb (Talk) 03:54, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Oyster card
Shouldn't Transport for London's Oyster card be included, it is also an electronic fare card if I'm not wrong. --Terence Ong 08:31, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Order
Since there didn't seem to be any order to the cards to speak of, I've grouped them by continent and then alphabetised them by the name of the card. I'm inclined to think this is more useful than just alphabetising them, but if anybody can think of a better idea... --Polonius 13:43, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] IruCa and NicePass
Since we've gone ahead and removed these cards from the template due to lack of an article, the next logical step would be to create one! Someone ought to make one, so we can bring these names back to the template. SchuminWeb (Talk) 02:25, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] National division
I suggest that arrange the Japanese and Chinese part in Asian region due to the variousness of efarecard of these 2 nations especially. -- Sameboat 13:27, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- I see that you added two Chinese fare systems (and for that we're appreciative), but I don't quite understand what you're trying to say here... SchuminWeb (Talk) 15:32, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

- I'm sorry for my bad presentation. Here's my suggestion: -- Sameboat 16:38, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

Ah, much better. As for what I think about it, I like it. It makes it far more readable than before. SchuminWeb (Talk) 17:11, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- If the original editor of this template agrees. Or no one opposes it in 1 week Schuminweb please update the template with this version. ok? -- Sameboat 17:35, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
-
- Why don't you just update it when we've figured there's no opposition? Anyone can edit, and all you have to do is paste your new version in place of the production template. SchuminWeb (Talk) 17:47, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
First, to IP 130.63.42.198, I'm from Hong Kong. The reason for removing the Taiwan sub-region due to the fact that there's only one such product owning a particular article in WP, thus I restored the Easycard to the standard Asia section. (I'm not really care to the Wiki policy for dividing TW from Chinese region.) And I suggest that when you wanna open a new sub-regional section, make sure that that region already exists more than one living EFareCard product. Which Canada is potentially new sub-regional section once the wiki page of Passe-Partout plus has been created. -- Sameboat 21:01, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] City links
This is a really good template, but I have a major suggestion. At present, the links to the cities seem completely innapropriate, especially with the link to Greater Manchester county. We could:
- Remove the city links
- Link instead to the transport systems, ie.
- Link the city names to the transport systems, ie.
Any thoughts? —anskas 15:24, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
In fact, this is already done for the Japanese Ecards. —anskas 15:26, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
- I like the last one, where we link to the transit system on the city names, because if we link on the system's name, it could become a little awkward, I'd think. SchuminWeb (Talk) 15:33, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

- I agree with Schuminweb. And the South Korean regions are addressed cumbersome in this template and the clean up is required. -- Sameboat 15:00, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

-
- OK. I have started making the changes. Please let me know if you think any of the links are innapropriate (I know more about Europe than about America and Asia). —anskas 20:31, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

- So far, so good. If anyone thinks that the links may be incorrectly pointed, we'll take the liberty of fiddling. SchuminWeb (Talk) 05:14, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

- Modified the links in Chinese section for Taipei, Shenzhen and Beijin to their relative transportation article. The others remain the same due to their ex-transit purpose and Shanghai is lacking in relative article about all-purpose transport.
- And one more thing, refer to the removal of the Readycard. Should we remove the inexistent links of those 3 South Korean EFareCards as well? -- Sameboat 17:22, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Addition of future/minor cards
I think a card should only really be mentioned if:
- There is an article which describes the card in at least some detail
- This template is used in that article/section !!!!!
We must ensure that this template doesn't get swamped by minor schemes, or by potential systems briefly mentioned in Wikipedia. —anskas 02:11, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
