Egbert W. Beach Elementary School, commonly known as Beach School, is one of the three elementary schools in Piedmont, California.

The public school is part of the Piedmont Unified School District and serves grades kindergarten through fifth grade. Students who graduate from Beach School continue on to Piedmont Middle School.

Beach School was established in 1913. It was the city's second elementary school and it preceded the building of the high school in 1921.^[1]

It was named after Egbert W. Beach, who fought in World War I.^[2]

The school is located at 37°49′22″N, 122°14′46″W.^[3]

Unlike the other school in the district, which are all within a one-block radius of each other, Beach School is relatively far from the center of town. Students who attend Beach are from the surrounding area, which is known as "ghetto Piedmont." Beach is several blocks from Piedmont Avenue in the city of Oakland.

One hundred percent of Beach teachers have full credentials, and the average number of years teaching is 16. The ratio of students to paraprofessional staff is 15:1. ^[4]

The school's API Statewide Rank for 2005 was 10.^[5]

The website GreatSchools.net gives Beach School a 10 out of 10 for test score rating.^[6]
