Eileen Anderson served as Hawai'i State Budget Director and Mayor of Honolulu. In 1980, Anderson handed the City & County of Honolulu its most stunning defeat of popular incumbent Mayor Frank Fasi. She served as Mayor of Honolulu from 1981 to 1985, when she was defeated by Fasi, who had switched his political affiliation from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party.
