From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Elaine Benson Gallery was an art gallery in Bridgehampton, New York. Founded by Elaine Benson, it was considered to be one of the most prominent and influential art galleries in the area (an area with a high concentration of galleries) and a center of social activity in the notably tony Hamptons, frequented by such luminaries as Betty Friedan, Kurt Vonnegut, Sheldon Harnick, Elaine Steinbeck, and Willem de Kooning.
