Talk:Elf Aquitaine

[edit] Removed POV comment
I removed the statement that
- This has come under fire pre-Iraqi 2003 war. This also dissproves many conspiracy theories about Haliburton's involvement with Iraqi Oil fields.
The statement fails to explain how Elf Aquitaine's relationship to the pre-2003 Iraqi government has any bearing on the accusations against Halliburton, nor does it link to the page that documents the accusations. Furthermore, the statement that Elf's relationship "disproves" the conspiracy theories about Halliburton is, of course, a POV statement, besides lacking a clear causal link. Whether any accusation is proven or refuted is in the mind of the reader and constitutes POV; a statement reporting the known facts is acceptable. — JonRoma 22:33, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
I would also suggest that more detail about the nature of the Elf scandal were included in that section. Of particular use would be a statement naming the time period during which the alleged acts took place and the outcome (any criminal or civil penalties against the company or its directors/officers). — JonRoma 22:35, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
