Eliade's Truth (Japanese: エリアーデの真実, - Eliade no shinjitsu) is the twenty-second episode of the anime series D.Gray-man.

After regaining his left eye, Allen confronts Eliade and figures out that she was the Akuma who attacked him last night. He then asks if she is going to change into her true form. Eliade admits that she prefers her human form since her Akuma form is quite ugly. However, due to the circumstance, she has no choice and transforms. She immediately charges toward Allen, who is prepared to fight. While this is happening, Lavi and Krory continue to battle with each other. As the former swings his hammer at his opponent, Krory easily grabs the weapon and flings Lavi onto the ground. Krory is able to do his final attack when he suddenly cries out in pain. He realizes that he has used up Eliade's blood and is conflicted on whether or not he should have drank more of her blood. Seeing an opportunity, Lavi activates one of his hammer seals, Gouka Kaijin: Hi Ban (Conflagration of Ash: Fire Seal), which surrounds Krory. The fire attack slams Krory against the castle wall and interrupts Allen and Eliade's battle.

The blast hits Eliade but also sends Allen flying out the window. Luckily for him, Lavi catches him on time, and he notices Allen's eye has been healed. Meanwhile, Eliade sees an unconscious Krory and rushes to his side. Quickly transforming back to her human form, she tries to wake the baron up. As the exorcists arrive at the scene, Lavi becomes horrified and asks Allen if he is seeing an Akuma's soul floating above Eliade. The latter is stunned to know people around him can see the Akuma's souls as well. During this time, Eliade recalls how she became an Akuma. Long ago, a grieving woman called back her soul due to the Earl's persuasions and was immediately killed. After she regains self-awareness, she notices how her beauty attracted a lot of suitors. Unfortunately, she is an Akuma - a killing machine, which means that anyone who got close to her died, and she despises that. She begins to realize that she wishes to become a real woman, but that will never happen since an Akuma cannot disobey its program.

One day, she was summoned by the Earl. He asked her to investigate Arystar Krory who may have a connection to Cross Marian. After she left the meeting, she remembered bitterly how the Earl never praised her beauty once because he just sees her as a weapon. Some time later, she and a group of Level 1 Akuma arrived at Romania. While Eliade was putting on her makeup, she got annoyed at her companions and ordered them to go ahead of her. She contemplates about killing people even though she likes the attention she is getting from them. However, she lost her train of thought when Krory suddenly appeared and attacked her. Eliade thought the end is near and passed out. She later woke up to find herself still alive and noticed Krory's crying nearby. A surprised Eliade asked him why he did not kill her so he answered that he regained his consciousness and stopped himself. Even though Eliade felt uneasy with his fangs, she also found them enchanting. To comfort the baron, she kissed him, which caused him to faint much to her delight. Despite the fact that he is her enemy, she did not mind staying with him because he did his best not to kill her. Finishing her thought, Eliade wishes to stay with Krory forever.

After a while, Krory regains consciousness and becomes alarmed to see something floating from Eliade's back. He asks Eliade about it and she becomes surprised to see it as well. Seeing the whole situation, Lavi questions if Allen's left eye is allowing them to see it, which causes Allen to wonder if Mana's curse has become stronger. Bookman's apprentice then calls out to Krory, telling him that Eliade is an Akuma. Hearing this, the baron demands to know the truth. As she tries to answer his question, a drop of her blood falls onto Krory's hand, which surprises him because the color of her blood is an oily brown. Since she got caught, Eliade declares that she has to destroy him now and transforms into her Level 2 form. Slamming him against the wall, she vows that she will make sure that he will never become an exorcist. Alarmed, Lavi blames himself for "Kuro-chan's" injuries so Allen and Lavi rushes over to aid him. Unfortunately, the man-eating flowers crash into the room and grab both of them. An amused Eliade watches the scene and decides to feed Krory's dead body to them. Krory, on the other hand, tells her that he loved her since the first time they met and asks her why she did not kill him when she had a chance. Her response is that she wants to use him and prevents herself from doing the deed. In return, Krory licks her blood off of his hand and claims that he also stops himself from killing her. His lover notes that their feelings are mutual and they charge at each other with the intent to kill.
