Emancipation Stakes

The Emancipation Stakes is a Group 2 Australian thoroughbred horse race, for fillies and mares aged 3-years -old and upwards, over a distance of 1600m.
It is held annually at Randwick Racecourse in Sydney, Australia and named in honour of the former champion Emancipation.

1985 – 1995 was a Listed race
1996 – 1998 was a Group 3
1999 onwards Group 2.
