Embley Park
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Embley Park is in a historical country house close to the New Forest and the town of Romsey in Hampshire which was one of the childhood homes of Florence Nightingale. It is now a coeducational boarding school which was founded in 1946. It consists of a junior school (ages 3-11), a senior school (ages 11-16) and a sixth form college (ages 16-18). Oringially known as Embley Park School, that school underwent a merger with the Atherley school (based in Nursling) in 2004. The merger of these schools formed a new school called the Hampshire Collegiate School whose headmaster is David Chapman (the former Embley Park headmaster). The merged school is based on the Embley Park campus. This new school falls under the umbrella of the United Church Schools Trust.
