[edit] Endurance 5: High Sierras
Episode 1: Balance is the Key
About Mission: 20 competitors faced the Right to Stay game, and kids had to walk on a thin plank, completing five laps to and from the end of the plank to stay.
Winner(s): Aeriel, Anna, Cealey, Cameron, Connor, Dakota, Garret, Isaac, Lilly, Kristine, Max, Taylor
Eliminated: Adrian, Martina, Rafael, Stephanie
Notes: Darci and Aric were chosen to skip the right to stay. They were allowed to chose 1 person each to also skip the game. They chose Kelsey and Alex.
Episode 2: Hanging Around
About Mission: Now, the remaining 16 competitors were hanging around above water. The person who had held out the longest picked a team, but not their own. That team picks the next team and so on.
Winner(s): Dakota
Notes: Nobody got to pick their own partner, but Dakota got to pick the first team. Connor and Darci surprisingly switched it up and put Ike with Taylor.
Episode 3: Unwind
About Mission: As the 16 competitors have been chosen into teams, a team that is colorless will go home. Teams are attached to a rope and need to untie themselves to have enough rope to reach the far side of the field. Then they choose a color.
Winner(s): Blue Team: Taylor and Isaac; Grey Team: Darci and Connor; Yellow Team: Lilly and Aric; Orange Team: Kristine and Max; Red Team Aeriel and Cameron; Green Team: Cealey and Alex; Purple Team: Kelsey and Dakota
Eliminated: Colorless Team: Anna and Garret
Notes: First time in Endurance that the last placed team was automatically eliminated.
Episode 4: Hot Potato
About Mission: The seven teams carry a bucket of water from one side of the field to the other using only two wooden sticks, while ducking obstacles. They would dump the water in a bucket, and when they had enough, a flag will raise, signaling their win.
Winner(s): Blue Team: Taylor and Isaac
Eliminated: None
Notes: The Blue Team won the power to switch two teams. They gave the power to the Red team who blindsided Blue by switching Isaac with Connor. The new teams were the Blue Team: Connor and Taylor, and the Gray Team: Isaac and Darci
Episode 5: Move It Along
About Mission: Teams would have to move themselves across a field only using two wooden boxes. If they fell off, they would start again.
Winner(s): Blue Team: Connor and Taylor
Eliminated: None
Notes: The Blue won the power to disadvantage any team in the next temple mission. They chose Gray, who will have a 20-second disadvantage.
Episode 6: Walk the Plank
About Mission: Boys sit on shore holding a rope connected to a plank which the girls are standing on. If they let go and their teammate falls, that team loses.
Winner(s): Red Team: Cameron and Aeriel
Eliminated: Gray Team: Isaac and Darci
Notes: Red won the right to send two teams to the Temple of Fate. After being told of Gray's strategy (by Blue), Yellow faced off with Gray and won.
Episode 7: Fill & Spill
About Mission: The remaining 6 teams get to play to choose the super-teams. One teammate holds onto a bar, connected by a pulley to a bucket. The other teammate gets water from the lake and dumps it in any team's bucket. When the weight becomes too much, they will slide off the platform and be lifted into the air. When they let go of the bar, their team is eliminated.
Winner(s): Purple Team: Dakota and Kelsey
Eliminated: None
Notes: Purple won the right to divide their six teams into two superteams for the next Temple Mission. They isolated Blue and Yellow when selecting and set the teams as Purple, Orange and Red versus Blue, Yellow and Green.
Episode 8: Superboats
About Mission: The super-teams have just noticed J.D. told them that only ONE team will play the mission. Purple said they would be playing, and so does Blue.
Winner(s) Purple Team: Dakota and Kelsey, along with "superteam" members of Orange Team: Max and Kristine, Red Team: Cameron and Aerial )
Eliminated: Yellow Team: Aric and Lilly
Notes: Only one team represented the entire superteam in the challenge. Purple and Blue were chosen. Blue faced off against Yellow at temple and won.
Episode 10: It's a Drag
About Mission: The 5 teams played again for another temple mission. Teams had to drag 280 pound water jug using only three logs until they reach their color of Endurance. For the first time, Green won the temple mission.
Winner(s): Green team: Alex and Cealey
Eliminated: Orange Team: Max and Kristine
Notes: Green won the temple mission and sent Blue and Orange to temple. Orange tried to trick Blue, but it failed. Blue won, and Orange was eliminated.
Episode 11: Create Your Own Game
About Mission: Teams create a game, each player have a large bowl and they toss a large ball to their teammate to the finish line. The first team to have 5 balls in the drum and run their flag back to the starting line wins the mission and a pyramid piece. Last team automatically goes to temple. Blue wins the endurance mission and Red came in last.
Winner(s): Blue team: Connor and Taylor
Eliminated: None
Notes: The winner also gets to award a samadhi, which Blue gave to Purple. It was a 5 foot long rope.
Episode 12: Fill 'er Up
About Mission: Teams had to transport water from a barrel to a long tube using a short tube with holes in both ends. A float in the long tube would be forced out when the tube was full.
Winner(s): Purple team: Dakota and Kelsey
Eliminated: Red team: Cameron and Aeriel
Notes: Despite Purple's five foot handicap, they overcame the Samadhi to win the mission and sent Red and Blue to the temple. Blue beats Red becoming the first team ever to survive 3 trips to the temple of fate. Purple is no longer allowed to use their Triangle of Immunity
Episode 13: All Tied Up
About Mission: The three semi-finalist teams: blue, purple, and green had to untie three balls that were tied to ropes that were tangled and tied around a log. Teams had to untangle every single rope to win the mission.
Winner(s): Purple Team: Dakota and Kelsey
Eliminated: Blue team: Connor and Taylor.
Notes: During a vote cast by the already eliminated members, Connor won by a landslide and won his team a thirty second head start. The two teams that lost the mission were automatically sent to temple. Blue lost to Green, losing their good karma.
Episode 14: Slingshot Alley
The two finalist teams of Green and Purple battled it out for the remaining pieces, using a slingshot to shoot a ball in a net on the other side of the lake and the other partner drops it in the bin with the Blue Team's pyramid pieces.
Winner(s): Green Team: Cealey and Alex: Number of Pyramid Pieces: 5
Loser(s): Purple Team: Dakota and Kelsey: Number of Pyramid Pieces: 3
Episode 15: Finale
The season finale; Green won the trip to Hawaii.
