Enrique Arancibia Clavel
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Enrique Arranciaba is a former Chilean DINA agent, who resided in unofficial exile in Buenos Aires after the assassination of Chilean Army Chief of Staff René Schneider on October 25, 1970. He was arrested by Argentine intelligence officers shortly after the extradition of former CIA agent Michael Townley to the US, and charged of espionage [1]. He was sentenced in Argentine a life sentence for the 1974 assassination of General Carlos Prats in Buenos Aires and convicted of crimes against humanity [2]. Michael Townley was also involved in Carlos Prats' assassination [3].
Michael Townley, who has been convicted for the 1976 assassination of Orlando Letelier, former Minister of Salvador Allende, in Washington DC, claimed that Enrique Arranciaba had traveled to California in Fall of 1977 on banking business for ALFA, alias Italian neo-fascist terrorist Stefano Delle Chiaie [4].
