ENRIQUE CARDENAS Is born in Mexico and reappeared in Puerto Rico. Being son of the singer Agueda Curiel and actor Enrique, he inherits a natural artistic talent. This talent combined to their ample culture, its creative character and its eclectic conception, has allowed him to obtain a fascinating fusion between the music by ancestral ethnic roots and the vanguardista progression of the sorts and present currents.
In 1997 it founds and directed KOKOPELLI PROJECT. He appeared with in several theatres and universities in U.S., Mexico and Puerto Rico either as a solo or in company of musicians like the violinista Richard Downs (Sangeet) of the Symphonic one of Puerto Rico, the atropólogo Andrew Alvarez, Pedro Guzmán, Jose Antonio Moreno, Jose Lopez, Carlos Lazarte, Carlos Barsy, Juan Carlos Montalvo, Ricardo “papoi” Davila, Richard Ruiz, Fredi Diaz. He also played with Danny Rivera, Expensive Nydia, the Tibetan monks, R. Carlos Nakai, Silverio Perez (in the presentation of the Dr Brian Weiss in P.R.) and others. The poetry of Etna has musicalizada Puerto Rican Irises Rivera, Myrim Cross, Coqui Santaliz and other poets.
Cardenas has produced and co-produced more than sixteen compact discs: “From the skin to the Soul”, “Kokopelli Project”, “Fusions”, “Seeds”, “Between Cities and Villages” and “Devotional Meditation” (“ANANDA”), “Nature Goddess”, “Symphony for a New Life”, “Tito Cardinal red Rosa and Enrique in Puerto Rico”, “live Concert in the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico”, “Taína”, Sounds Of Relaxation”, “Reincarnation” and “the Internal Trip” among others.
In 1999, he created “MUSICUENTOS” giving young students the varied sonoridades of the ethnic instruments and the old tradition to entertain itself learning to poer average of the reading dramatized or musicalizada of stories, legend and fables with positive messages.
