[edit] Story

The plot centers around Timmy Turner's wish to venture into the world of the Crimson Chin and meet his hero, which Cosmo and Wanda immediately grant. Under the guise of his alter-ego, Cleft the Boy Chin Wonder, Timmy eventually meets the Chin, only to witness him being captured by The Bronze Kneecap and his two cohorts, Spatula Woman and Country Boy. Cleft gives chase to the villains' hideout, but is tricked into showing the villains the comic book he came through. The villains then escape into the real world and begin causing havoc; needless to say, it's up to Timmy and his fairies to track the villains down and send them back to the comic book world!

[edit] Gameplay

The game is more or less a standard platformer. Timmy's main weapon is a water gun he's been equipped with. The water it shoots apparently stings, because every enemy in the game somehow takes damage when hit with it. If Timmy finds a certain weapon upgrade, one of the features of his squirt gun will be upgraded while the other is downgraded. In the case of a punching glove called a Big Punch, his hit power is increased, but he'll have to stand closer to the enemies. Similarly, finding a Sticking Beam will allow him to shoot bubble gum bubbles that go twice as far, but don't cause as much damage.

Timmy has five life hearts, which deplete whenever he takes damage. If he takes damage, he can eat a certain food that will replenish his life: Cheese fills up one heart, a hot dog replenishes three, and beef steak completely heals Timmy.

Throughout the game, Cosmo and Wanda make appearances, disguised as everyday objects like on the show. Whenever Timmy crosses paths with them, he can wish for one of six different items listed below. The catch, though, is that Timmy must first gather the necessary amounts of floating wands scattered throughout the levels needed to purchase the items. Collecting one hundred of these wands garners an extra life. Among the items Timmy can wish for are:

  • Gyro (? wands) - Allows Timmy to fly, which is useful in getting to out-of-reach platforms
  • Bat (? wands) - Reflects enemy fire
  • Megaphone (? wands) - Allows Timmy to shout out "Cool!", which knocks down enemies with three times the power of a normal attack
  • Skateboard (? wands) - Allows Timmy to travel faster and clear bad roads easily
  • Health restoration (50 wands) - Restores Timmy to full health
  • 1-Up (80 wands) - Gives Timmy an extra life

In addition, finding an item that bears a likeness to Cosmo or Wanda's faces grants Timmy temporary invincibility. However, he will still lose a life if he falls down a pit or into water while invincible.

In certain levels, Timmy can summon the help of Chompy the Goat by finding an item in the shape of the goat's face. Chompy will then appear, charging around the plain on which he has been summoned and knocking down any enemies that get in his path.

[edit] Levels

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

There are initially five levels that Timmy must go through, advancing the story with each one.

  1. The Comic Book World: Timmy begins his journey and comes upon the Crimson Chin being kidnapped.
  2. The Primitive Age: Timmy and his fairies travel back in time to prevent Country Boy from changing history.
  3. The Present World: Timmy and his fairies chase down Spatula Woman after she kidnaps Mama Cosma.
  4. The Future World: Timmy and his fairies travel to the future where the Bronze Kneecap has taken over.
  5. The Comic Book World Revisited: Timmy returns to the now-run-down comic book world to rescue the Crimson Chin and defeat the villains for good.

In each of the five levels, there is a floating crown hidden in one stage. Finding all five of these crowns allows the players access to a secret level after beating the last level. (However, since this secret is described in the instruction booklet, it is not much of a secret.) In this level, Jorgen Von Strangle has Cosmo and Wanda arrested for causing the whole mess in the first place, and Timmy chases them down to Fairy World to fight for his fairy godparents' freedom.

[edit] Enemies

[edit] Regular Enemies

  • Comic Book Geeks: A group of nerds dressed up as Crimson Chin characters who show up frequently attempting to stop Timmy for whatever reason. The Country Boy Geeks and Bronze Kneecap Geeks prefer to attack by throwing projectiles (exploding pigs and bags of popcorn, respectively), while the Spatula Woman Geeks jump at you and try to dig at the hard ground, and the Crimson Chin Geeks simply shake their butt.
  • Mange: Francis' dog, who also charges at Timmy, but not before growling first. Unlike his master, he appears in all the levels.
  • Doidle: Vicky's dog who, like Mange, will run at Timmy, but not as fast as Mange. His appearance usually means Vicky's not far behind.
  • Vicky: Timmy's nasty babysitter who patrols the streets of levels 2-4. Her attack consists of performing a jump-kick as seen in the episode "The Big Problem!"
  • Francis: The local bully of Timmy's school, who shows up in levels 2-4. He charges at Timmy whenever he comes near.
  • Twin Bees: A pair of bees who fly towards Timmy when he gets near. Always seen in pairs, both bees fall off the screen even if only one of them gets hit.
  • Spunky: Vicky's hamster who attacks by popping out of the ground and then running around, ala the Monty Moles from Super Mario World.
  • Tad & Chad: The popular boys at school who frequently snub Timmy and his friends. Usually showing up together, Chad will run and do a sliding kick while Tad kicks a soccer ball. Unlike the Twin Bees, defeating one of them doesn't result in the other one dying as well.
  • Wendell Bender: Throws dentures similar in fashion to the Country Boy Geeks. Strangely, his father, Dr. Bender, is absent from the game.
  • Ginny: Vicky's parrot who swoops downward at Timmy whenever he gets close.
  • Ninja Bunny: Taken from the episode "Power Mad!", these rabbits in ninja outfits attack by throwing carrots. These bunnies patrol level 4.
  • Aunt Gertrude: Like the Ninja Bunnies, this is Timmy's pinchy aunt as portrayed as a video game enemy. She only shows up in the first stage of level 4.
  • Mark Chang: Vicky's alien admirer who shows up in stage 4-1, accompanied by what appear to be several clones. He fires some sort of pink substance at Timmy.
  • Cupid: The fairy of love who flies around Fairy World, shooting homing missile-like arrows at Timmy.
  • The Easter Bunny: Hops about in Fairy World, throwing explosive Easter eggs.
  • Fairy Commandos: Tough-looking fairies who walk around the Fairy Court building. They apparently share the same schematics as Francis, as they charge at Timmy upon noticing him.

[edit] Bosses and Sub-Bosses

  • Country Boy: The first of the Crimson Chin's enemies who is fought in the game. He is fought at the end of level 2 and again in stage 5-2. His attacks consist of charging around and, like the geeks dressed like him, throwing explosive pigs.
  • The Football Team: Originally seen in the episode "The Big Problem!", Timmy must fight this trio of large players in order to collect one of the missing statue items in stage 3-1.
  • Denzel Q. Crocker: Timmy's crazed schoolteacher who must be battled in stage 3-3 in order to obtain the level's key item, which he obviously intends on using to prove that fairy godparents exist. Before battling him, Timmy must search for him all over the school, using clues from Chester and A.J. In the actual battle, Crocker uses a remote control to have anvils, weights, pails, and bombs dropped on Timmy.
  • Spatula Woman: The second Crimson Chin villain Timmy fights. She kidnaps Mama Cosma and hides out in Vicky's stomach (ala the episode "Tiny Timmy!"). Her main attack is charging at Timmy and attempting to swat him with her giant spatula. In the rematch in stage 5-3, she also blows kisses to stun Timmy.
  • Robo-Vicky: A gigantic, seemingly invincible robot in Vicky's likeness, also from the episode "Power Mad!" Although she was unbeatable in the show, here she is comparatively easy (due to Timmy having the advantage of a flying scooter).
  • The Bronze Kneecap: The Crimson Chin's archnemesis, and the last Chin enemy to fight. His attacks consist of sending out leg-shaped missiles and buzz saws, as well as spinning around the room in a fashion similar to the Tasmanian Devil. He is fought in the last stages of the fourth and fifth levels; in the latter confrontation, he makes the mistake of having a 1-Up placed within Timmy's reach.
  • Jorgen Von Strangle: The toughest fairy in the universe, and the boss of the secret Fairy World level. Timmy must fight him before the judge can drop all the charges against Cosmo and Wanda. He can dash and bring up fire from the ground. Interestingly, Cosmo and Wanda look upset whenever Timmy gets hurt in the fight, but they show no reaction when one of the combatants falls.
