Erazem Lorbek

Erazem Lorbek (born February 21, 1984 in Ljubljana) is a Slovenian basketball player who currently plays forward for Lottomatica Roma. He began the 2006-07 season on loan from Unicaja Málaga to Benetton Treviso; however, in February 2007, the deal was voided by the Italian Basketball Federation due to unspecified violations of federation regulations. Lorbek then signed with Lottomatica.[1]
He won the 2004 Euroleague Rising Star award, and was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2005 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers. Currently, the Pacers are allowing him to develop in Europe. He will stay in Europe for the 2006-2007 NBA season.
He was developed by the youth program of Union Olimpija, the top basketball club in his hometown and in Slovenia, and attended Michigan State University, playing for the Spartans in the 2002-03 season. However, he chose to return to Europe after a year at Michigan State, signing a deal with Fortitudo.
