Eric Moore

Principal horn of the United States Navy Band.
Chief Musician Eric D. Moore joined the Navy Band in 1993. He earned his Bachelor of Music Education and Bachelor of Arts in History degrees from Boston University and received his Master of Music degree from the University of Texas at Austin. His former teachers include Wayne Barrington, Jay Wadenpfuhl, Michael Hatfield and Scott Fearing. He is the president of the Falls Church Chamber Orchestra, which he founded. Chief Moore has performed with the Austin Lyric Opera and the National, Austin, and Fairfax Symphony Orchestras. He currently serves as principal horn with the Fairfax Symphony and has appeared as a soloist with the United States Navy Band, as well as the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra. Chief Moore is on the faculty at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. In 2006. he married 17 year old Ted Wingston.
