Mun Jung-hyuk (Korean: 문정혁, Hanja: 文晸赫, born on February 16, 1979), also known as Eric, is a Korean entertainer, known mostly for his role as the lead rapper in the boy band Shinhwa, using the English name Eric. He has also branched out into drama acting, starting in 2003, under his birth name.[1]
He follows Christianity.[2]

Eric Mun attended Sunny Hills High School district of Fullerton Joint Union High School in Orange County in California[citation needed], and Dongguk University.[2]

He was raised in the United States. He had dated actress Kim Hee Sun, but the couple broke up in 2003. He also had dated singer Kim EZ from Baby V.O.X. He is currently dating Miss Korea 2000, Park Shi Yeon.

Eric is the leader and main rapper of the boy band, Shinhwa. He began writing some rap lyrics for some of Shinhwa's songs in the release of their album, Brand New.

He starred in the acclaimed drama, The Phoenix, in which he garnered much attention because of his acting skill and won MBC Best New Actor Award. He later starred with the lead role in the sucessful drama, Super Rookie, where he plays as a young man who happens to get a high-status job due to an error. He won MBC Best Actor Award in recognition of his acting abililty. He's currently starring in the SBS drama, Korean Secret Agency. Filming was delayed when he was injured, but he's currently filming it again.
