Eric de Sturler

Eric de Sturler is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Eric got his Ph.D. under Henk van der Vorst at Technische Universiteit Delft in 1994 with his thesis on Iterative Methods on Distributive Memory Computers. His research focuses on iterative methods for solving linear and nonlinear systems, preconditioners, and on numerical linear algebra problems in computational physics and material science, and on mathematical biology. He is married to Alice de Sturler and has a daughter.
