Ernesto Aguilar

Ernesto Aguilar founded the the Anarchist People of Color email list and website (http://www.illegalvoices.org) in 2001, which led to the formation of the current Anarchist People of Color network.
In the early 1990s Aguilar began his work in anarchist circles. During this time he was active in the Houston anarchist collective Black Fist. Aguilar and other people of color's continual disillusionment with racism within the anarchist movement led him to strive towards connecting and networking with fellow anarchist people of color to change the political landscape.
Aguilar has also worked extensively with the Anarchist Black Cross Network and Pacifica Radio, the latter for which he formerly produced the program Sexto Sol: Radio from Occupied Aztlan.
Aguilar continues to write, agitate and organize against racism, white supremacy and other hierarchies in our society.
