I know near Cumming this river flows through a Wildlife Management area. A tuna fish canning plant is on the river there. On some of the sandy beaches, people drive trailers down to the river to launch wave riders and speed boats. I don't know if the entire river is navigable by kayak or boat but some portions are used by boaters.
