I think he has been misquoted.
From the article: "je donne une aeuvre subjective ici, aeuvre cependant qui tend de toutes ses forces vers l'objectiveite" The words "aeuvre" and "l'objectiveite" do not exist in the French Language. I think the quote should be: "Je donne un oevre subjective ici, [un] auvre cepandant qui tend de toutes ses forces vers l'objectivité". In English: "I give here a subjective work, however, a work that tends all of it's forces towards objectivity."
Can someone please confirm the accuracy of the quoted text.
