[edit] Image needs cleaning up/fixing
For the time being, I have changed the flag image used in this template to Image:Olympic-rings.png, as, IMO, both of the two .svg versions---Image:Olympic rings.svg and Image:Olympische Ringe.svg---have an unsuitable background color; too much of a dark grey tone. I'll fix this as soon as I get around to installing a .svg-handling drawing program (by all means, feel free to beat me to it...). --Wernher 23:35, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
- The background is not dark: it's transparent and show the background of the given page --Berkut 20:37, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

- OIC, thanks! I guess we need a version of the .svg image with a white background then, suitable for using as an iconic "flag" in, e.g., medal tables; the Olympic flag/banner's background is, after all, white. I'll try and check if we have such a version already, or make one myself. --Wernher 05:29, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

- I changed the template to use Image:Flag of the Olympic Movement.svg (22px) which seems to me to be the most appropriate and also reasonably visually pleasing. Andrwsc 23:00, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

- Could someone draw a flag for free use or is that impossible? On a side note, this image seems pretty redundant to the one you removed. Punkmorten 07:51, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Recent edits
There have been a number of recent edits by user SndrAdrss to this template. It looks like these may be attempts to restore it to a similar state to other IOC-code templates, with the flag, etc. However, the net result is a broken template that does not display properly. I support fixing this template to look like the other ones, but as this template is included on a lot of other pages, I think that revisions to it should be perfected (and previewed!) before they are made final.
