[edit] System of competition
[edit] Since 2004-2005
Now, 21 clubs take part to the European most important competition. They are divided into 3 groups of 7 teams each with home and away games.
The 5 best-placed clubs in each group (15 clubs) and the best 6th placed club (1 club) qualify for the eighth-final play-offs.
Eighth-final round is established according the standings (games won, games lost, goal-average) of each team in the preliminary round. This round is played in a home and away game.
The winners of the eighth-final round will qualify for quarter-final round.
The winners of the quarter-final round qualify for the Final Four, organized by one of the qualified clubs. Semi-finals are played on Friday and finals on Sunday.
