European Parliament election, 1989 (Netherlands)

In 1989 elections to the European Parliament were held in the Netherlands. In the election the conservative liberal VVD looses seats to the progressive liberal D66, which return to the European parliament after a five year absence. 45.7% of the Dutch population turned out on election day.
