You know what? I don't know. The Excretory means.......... Some proteins & other nitrogenous compounds are broken down in the liver by a process called deamination. The LUNGS is the 1 oCellular respiration occurs in every living cell in your body. It is THE reaction that provides energy (in the form of ATP molecules) for cellular activities. If respiration stops, the cell no longer has energy for cellular activities & the cell dies. As respiration occurs carbon dioxide is produced as a waste product. As the carbon dioxide accumulates in body cells, it eventually diffuses out of the cells & into the bloodstream, which eventually circulates to the lungs. And here, in the alveoli of the lungs, carbon dioxide diffuses from the blood, into the lung tissue, and then leaves the body every time we exhale. [edit] Feces NEVER passes through the excretory system!
Anyone who has taken high school biology should know that feces is a product of the digestive system, not the excretory system. Someone please fix this article for accuracy. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 154.20.154.172 (talk) 07:21, 16 January 2007 (UTC).

In various sources such as Encyclopedia Britannica, the excretory and urinary systems are indeed the same system. If a merge follows, the name should be changed to Excretory system as this is the proper name. --I Are Scientists 19:31, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
