Òmnium Cultural
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Omnium Cultural was founded in 1961 and works to maintain and promote the Catalan language and culture. In 1963 it was closed by Franco and the organisation worked clandestinely to save the language and culture.
Now Òmnium has adapted to today’s society. It carries out activities which reaffirm the cultural and national reality of Catalonia. It offers different courses for everybody: history, language, etc., taking into account the high level of immigration to Catalonia.
