Óscar Raymundo Benavides Larrea (1876 – 1945) was the President of Peru from 1914 until 1915 and from 1933 to 1939. He achieved both of his terms as President through military coups.
He took power after the assassination of Luis Miguel Sánchez Cerro in 1933, elected by Congress to complete Sánchez Cerro's five-year term. He soon modified the Peruvian constitution of 1920 (which was in effect since the administration of Augusto B. Leguía), and introduced a new constitution in 1933 which lasted until 1979.
During his term in office, the second phase of remodeling the Government Palace of Peru was initiated, as well as the Palacio de Justicia ("Palace of Justice").
He died in Lima in 1945.
