Hello all. I'm a member of the Cleanup Taskforce and this article was placed on my desk. I did a rewrite of it, which you can see there, and I'd appreciate any comments you have on it. Main changes I've made:
- Split it into a main and "teams" section.
- Deleted all the text in the teams section and replaced it with a table.
- Deleted almost all of the text from the main section (which was straight from the official site) and replaced it with shorter and more (IMO) relevant/informative text.
If no one responds I'll probably just replace the article in a few days. Thanks, --Atb129 02:22, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

The article riddled inaccurate facts. This was mostly due to the fact that the KUAS website sucks, and the link labled "final results" was actually a link to the first days results. That article has been cleaned up slightly, and the placment of the teams corrected.

The Final Results has been posted online at the KUAS website (http://solarschool.kuas.edu.tw/2006). Press the Final Rally Results on 10/15/06. The results are correct, including the timing and placements.
I have changed some stuff on the page, and added two photos. Are there any other information that we should include on this page?

Eric, I have many issues to bring up with you: First, the results posted at that site, on the 15th of October that are listed as the final results, are the results from the first day, AS DESCRIBED IN THE EXCEL SHEET THAT IT LINKS TO. They are NOT the final results. The full results from ALL THREE DAYS can be found elsewhere on the site (http://203.64.105.80/solarrally2006/enRally.aspx)
SECONDLY, the two pictures you uploaded AS YOUR OWN WORK, you in fact stole from the University of Minnesota weblog (found at http://www.svp.umn.edu/). In fact, I was the photographer (and have the full-res versions to prove it). You didn't even bother to change the filenames. PLEASE remove them, or note the source. Hello "Theholymac",
1. The correct results should be from 9/18, my mistake. The link at the bottom of the wiki page points to the correct results.
2. I did not "steal" anything. As one of the event organizers, we reserve the right to ALL media from the event. By attending our event, your team agreed to these terms as stated in the regulations.
As per request, I will try to change the names and source, but I don't really know how. It took me an hour just to get a picture up. If you know how to change it, please do so. Instead of spending time to point out errors, you can try to add more content to the wiki. The reason I started this wiki page was to allow others to find out more information about the event.
If there are still any problems with media rights, please have Jeff Hammer contact me. He should have my contact information in the US (I gave them to him before your team left). If you need my phone number and e-mail, just let me know.

I am sorry for my abrupt response; I was not aware that you were one of the event organizers. I've had problems with people stealing photos of mine in the past and tend to be a little... harsh. Knowing that you are an event orgainzer, yes, by all means, you do have the rights to the photos in question.

Don't worry about it, i'm glad we cleared that up. I think Prof Hammer should have e-mailed something out to your team members by now. I actually was not able to attend the event in Sept because of school, that's probably why you didn't know me. But I was in contact with all the teams (mostly advisors) up until the event. But everything that you saw in English in Taiwan was made by me, if there was anything that was grammatically incorrect, it was either written after I left or changed without my notice lol.
I'll try to add more stuff to wiki, mostly copied stuff from KUAS website, but "pictures are worth a thousand words."
Also, one problem i found was when you search, you have to type in the whole name without any spelling errors or capitalization errors (2006 World Solar Rally in Taiwan). Is there any way we can get the searches to include this article even with common names ex. (solar rally in Taiwan, Taiwan solar rally, etc).
